Podcast Envy? or Podcast Complacency? Maybe even Podcast Flatline?! (GASP)

Hey Creator! How's your summer going? Wild and action packed? Or slow and languorous? Or maybe even just a little... meh (are we still using that word?)

I know I've been in a phase where I'm coming to terms with the reality that certain things that have worked beautifully for the past 10 years as I've built The Creative Impostor Studios are, just, no longer working.

Isn't that the plight of the entrepreneur? Just when you've found a rhythm that feels good and sustainable, the world shifts and you need a new map.

Podcast Envy, the podcast, has been on a hiatus while I've been thinking, exploring, napping, having conversations, re-launching The Creative Impostor podcast, napping again, listening, learning (how about another nap?)

Indeed, the curse of the creator is the perception that when they're not posting a lot, that nothing is happening, but the reality is that a LOT has been happening in the background. And here's what I've noticed (this is where you come in!)

  • Podcasting has never been easier, more affordable, more accessible and yet, more competitive for attention (i.e. audience numbers per show in decline)
  • Lots of noise & pressure to add video to your audio podcast or lead with video from the beginning
  • Caution around budgets, discerning the need-to-haves vs nice-to-haves
  • Social media fatigue (when was the last time you actually enjoyed being on Instagram or LinkedIn and felt better when you stopped scrolling?)
  • Late stage capitalism and toxic broligarchy (need I say more?)

All hope is not lost for your podcasting dreams!

Here's what I've come up with...

Find Your Light!

Creative content ecosystem audit - Sign up to the waitlist to be the FIRST to get details and a chance to claim your spotlight for an introductory rate at The Creative Impostor Studios.

This is for you IF...

  • If you are podcasting, but feeling like it’s time for a content glow-up
  • If you are pod-curious creator, wondering whether podcasting will work for you

Our new program, Find Your Light, is aa creative content ecosystem audit for cultural impact. In this current media and marketing landscape — it’s not enough to look at just one segment of your messaging. It’s more efficient and effective to look at how your podcast plays within your entire brand content — and I’m thinking of it like an ecosystem.

“Find your light” is a theater phrase that refers to how during a show, certain parts of the stage may be lit and some may be in shadow. As the performer, you need to be aware of your positioning — if you are delivering the most perfectly rehearsed Shakespearean soliloquy but you’re in the wrong place on stage, the impact will be lost because your audience cannot see you.

Likewise, if you are just using one channel for your content strategy, your potential audiences on other channels are missing out. Yet we don’t want you running laps around the ecosystem trying to create something new for each audience.

And that’s why you need someone like me to help you see the opportunities, clarify the messaging, and co-create a sustainable plan for visibility.

And I'm happy to announce...
