When Your Art Becomes Your Job

It's the LATEST series on The Creative Impostor. We've done some live streams already which you can catch up on at my LinkedIn profile @andreaklunder, or on YouTube @thecreativeimpostor.

Art = your passion, your creative vision and voice, that which you create because you love it

Job = what you do for money, what becomes a routine or expectation

The integration of the two pretty much sums up my life, for better or worse and I'm exploring what it takes to make it work! They say, "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (False).

Do you have insights for me about the dark and light sides of how YOUR art has become your job? Stories of success or despair (likely both?)

Reply to this email and tell me more. I'll be scheduling NEW Friday live streams starting in April and am looking for guests from within our community or creative leaders YOU recommend.

Thank you for sharing staying creative! Reply to this email and share how you're fueling your creative tank these days.

And we need to reset our nervous system, rediscover joy in human connection, and remember that progress is still happening even when it feels like society is tumbling backward. Hey Creator! How's your summer going? Wild and action packed? Or slow and languorous? Or maybe even just a little... meh (are we still using that word?) I know I've been in a phase where I'm coming to terms with the reality that certain things that have worked beautifully for the past 10 years as I've built The Creative Impostor Studios are, just, no longer working. Isn't that the plight of the entrepreneur? Just when you've found a rhythm that feels good and sustainable, the world shifts and...
